Pick Your Own Dahlias
Visit Belinda's Bloomers Flower Farm in Meadowbank and pick a bucket of the flowers you like the best!
Here's how it works.
- Towards the end of summer when my Flower Farm will (hopefully!) be overwhelmed with beautiful dahlias, I will open up dates that you can book a Pick Your Own session.
- On your selected date, you have an appointment with my flowers! Snip any 10 of the ones you love, and fill a Belinda's Bloomers Bucket. You get to keep the bucket so you can transport your blooms home safely.
- Enjoy your flowers!
What will the flowers be? Well, you can fill your bucket with whatever dahlias are blooming that day! You can even snip from our hydrangea forest. Check the Belinda's Bloomers Facebook Page for photos of what is blooming each week to give you an idea of what you can pick.
Cost: Pick Your Own costs $50 for any 10 blooms, and includes a bucket for you to take your flowers away safely.
Can I come any time? No - the pick your own sessions will be an 'appointment' time so I can manage floral demand. Please come at the time you book. As more flowers bloom, appointment times will increase, and will be posted on the Belinda's Bloomers Facebook Page.
Why is it so economical? Belinda's Bloomers Dahlia Flower Farm is a fun mini-business idea I want to test out, that has come out of the TenForward entrepreneurship workshops. If it's successful, I'll expand dramatically next year! I'm not a florist - but these are beautiful flowers from my garden that I'm delighted to share with you!
